JEFFREY MICKLAS
M.
Jeffrey Micklas has represented business interests and creditors in
civil litigation and bankruptcy throughout California for over
twenty-four years.
He has served as a mediator and a judge pro tem, as well as a
legal research attorney, for the Contra Costa Superior Court and has
been an administrative law judge for the State of California.
He has also taught business law at Contra Costa College.
Mr.
Micklas received his Juris Doctor in 1977 from the University of the
Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 1977.
He is member of the State Bar of California and the Contra Costa
County Bar Association as well as licensed to practice in the Northern
District of California, the Eastern District of California and the
Central District of California as well as the 9th Circuit
Court of Appeals. He has given seminars on bankruptcy and collection
issues at the State Conference of the California Credit Union Collectors
Council and before such organizations as county realtor boards. In
addition, he has provided employee training in bankruptcy and collection
to financial institutions and other businesses.
In
addition to his law practice, Mr. Micklas is very involved with the
community.
He has been actively involved with, and served on the boards of,
such organizations as the YMCA and the Contra Costa County Food Bank as
well as coaching numerous youth sports.
